Private Hire

The boat is also available to book for private trips from April through to October. You can choose any time from around 10am right through into the evening, as long as you have returned by dusk. The only time the boat is not available for private hire is Saturday, Sunday, Bank Holiday and School Holiday afternoons between 12pm and 4pm as this is when we offer our public trips.  The boat will take up to a maximum of 60 passengers (plus two crew members).

As this is a private hire, you may chose any trip from the list, which vary in length from 30 minutes to over 2 hours, the price of which depends on the route and time you wish to take, and the total number of passengers in your party.

Cold food and drinks can be provided on board if required or we don’t mind if you want to bring your own food and drinks along.

How To Book

A £50 deposit is required all private hire bookings departing before 6pm and £100 for those after departing after 6pm and also a booking form must be completed. All trips must be paid for in full on, or before embarkation. The deposit is non-returnable in the event of cancellation. Please ensure you read our CONDITIONS OF HIRE before booking. Please note that VAT is not applicable on boat trips.

For your info with regard to car & coach parking at Foxton Locks:-

The site is freely accessible to the public all year round and you will find us open every day. The nearest parking is in the Canal & River Trust Pay and display car parks. Parking after 6pm is FREE, however, if you are planning to park between 9am – 6pm, then you will need to bring change for the car parks as the ‘pay by app’ method is not very reliable.
