About Bridge 61 Pub

Bridge 61 Pub

Featured in the Good Pub Guide!

Bridge 61 is a small traditional canal-side pub situated right at the bottom of the locks. It is a great place to relax and unwind whilst watching the boats go by. Open every day of the year and serving a variety of local Cask Marqued real ales, specialty ciders, hot drinks and snacks. Set in what is thought to be the old accommodation quarters for the workers of the Inclined Plane, it is decorated with traditional canal artifacts, has an open fire for the colder months and you will be served through a small hatch in the wall!

We welcome well behaved dogs (on leads please) and well behaved children and we also don’t mind if your boots are a bit muddy too! Dog treats are available but we also have a selection of human treats in the form of light meals, snacks and specials. For a sample of our menu, please click here

** NOW SERVING A SPEPERATE BREAKFAST MENU ** 9.30am – 11:30am everyday. For a sample of our breakfast menu click here

Take outs are also available should you prefer to wander around and enjoy the site and baby changing facilities are also available in the disabled toilet area. Biscuits, cakes and muffins are also on sale for those just wanting to enjoy a small treat!

We have a patio area and sunny (hopefully!) beer garden.

We are open from 9.30am (alcohol served from 10am) every day. Closing time varies depending on the time of year, the weather and maybe staff availability.

The site is freely accessible to the public all year round and you will find us open every day. The nearest parking is in the Canal & River Trust Pay and display car parks. Please check the Canal & River Trust website for up to date charges. Please bring change for the car parks as it cost business money to get change from banks.
